Adventures in TV: Kid In a Candy Store

Chunk's dreams have come true! Food Network has come up with a new show called Kid In a Candy Store, a show that follows Adam Gertler across the country as he tastes sweets and treats.

It's pretty entertaining and definitely plays to those with a sweet tooth (Chunk for sure!). You could definitely have an adventure by visiting the places that Gertler goes to, or by having your own sweet adventure in your city.

Adventures in TV: Bert the Conqueror

A nod to the Travel Channel for its new show Bert the Conqueror. This half hour show follows host, Bert Kreischer as he travels around the US looking for thrills and adventures. We like him because not only is he funny, but he's real. Instead of acting like something isn't scary, he actually screams like a little kid and will admit that he got the s*^! scared out of him. Some of his screams are even reminiscent of KJ on roller coasters, of which she is not a fan.

So if you haven't seen this show yet, check it out. If you aren't inspired to go find your adventure after seeing an episode....well, then, it sucks to be you!

Exploring America

A few weeks ago our friend A directed Chunk to a contest sponsored by Sears called, Exploring My America. If chosen, you get $1500 for expenses, a $500 credit at Sears Auto Centers, and an HD Flipcam.

To enter you have to submit a video about why you'd be awesome for it. You can pick from one of 9 well known routes across the US. (By the way, we plan on doing them all regardless!)

So now all we have to do is make a video. Ideas to get us the win?

Wet, Hot, American Summer

With it being July and 90+ degrees everyday, keeping cool is the number one priority. Always on top of the newest gadgets, Chunk came across the Dyson Air Multiplier. A bladeless fan that offers a smooth stream of air. Plus, they look pretty cool as well.

Not sure about the price- the cheapest one comes in at $299.99, but once we get rich and famous from this blog (thanks fans!), maybe we'll get one!

Adventures in Beverages: Cotton Candy Vodka

On our way to Michigan this past 4th of July weekend, we stopped over at a liquor store to pick up some libations. We came across Pinnacle Vodka's cotton candy vodka and decided to purchase it.

Surprisingly not bad. Not overly sweet, but definitely tastes like cotton candy. We liked it with ginger ale and orange soda. So if you're looking for something new, go out and try it- it's like a carnival in your mouth!
