Portland Head Light

Just drove to the Portland Head Light, WOW RAIN!! We managed to get soaked within minutes, the foghorns were blazing! Old Forts and ruins and whatnot, that park would be awesome for a picnic on a nice day. Now, off to Salem!!

Lobster and Witches

About to check out of the hotel and grab a lobster roll from downtown Portland before we leave for Boston. It's about two hours, so we're planning a quick stop in Salem to see what all the fuss is about. Hopefully the rain won't be too bad!

We're both semi-sickly, but getting better. Wish us luck!

Downtown Portland!!

After a nice drive through downtown Portland, we've stopped at Sebago Brewing Company for dinner. Looks delicious, will update with the results later.

UPDATE: Chunk had the Runabout Red beer and the Main Lobster Quesadilla-Chunks of lobster meat, monterey jack cheese, and scallions. Served with sides of salsa and sour cream.

KJ had the Boathouse Brown Ale and the Vermont Panini-Cheddar cheese, sliced green apple, oven roasted turkey, smoked bacon and honey mustard.

All very delicious.

Downtown Portland is very "sea town-y"- hilly, with cute houses and shops, rainy and full of wharfs!

Lighthouses, here we come!

Good morning everyone! We're off to Maine this morning- land of lighthouses and lobster! We're super pumped and excited. But first, a quick stop at Ben and Jerry's!
