Adventures in Food: Cupcakes

So if you aren't aware of it, cupcake bakeries are the new trend popping everywhere from LA to Palookah, Kentucky. (Not sure if Palookah is a real place, but you get the picture). So we searched out a cupcake bakery here in Indy, and came across The Flying Cupcake bakery.

Located near the Broad Ripple area, we were excited to explore this new spot. Upon entering we were greeted by a case full of homemade cupcakes that all sounded great. We decided to get two for $6 (these things are pricey!). We got "The Bee's Knee's" (a light honey pear cupcake scented with ginger and topped with honey buttercream) and the "Irish Car Bomb" (self explanatory).

We took them home to eat, and boy were they delicious. Not an every day sort of treat, but definitely a once in a while fun treat. Yum!
